In the early 80’s, Gail Houghton left corporate America (Raytheon Data Systems) with an eye to give modeling a try. In short order, she was “helping out” in an agent’s office and quickly became a favorite among talent and staff. Hired away by another agent, Gail continued to build a stellar reputation. Sadly, what she saw at both agencies was a standard that was lacking integrity and honesty.

Deciding to give it a go on her own, she opened Houghton in 1990, creating a framework that buyers and performers would be able to trust as fair to all parties. And so it began. Moving the office from Cobb County to Collier Road in 1998, Gail eventually bought the little house on Collier in 2006. In the years since, it’s been the host to one million beautiful stories.

After a four year battle with Parkinson’s and then Alzheimer’s, Gail passed in September 2021. Her vibrant, joyful legacy lives on in innumerable special ways, but chiefly, the love of the work and the love of the people. It really is her gift.
